Juvenile dies in Cobb County car crash, police say — Dalton Health news

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A child died in a Cobb County car crash on Wednesday night, according to police. At around 7:30 p.m., Cobb County police were called to the intersection of Macland Road and Ernest Barrett Parkway in unincorporated Marietta. The juvenile, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe a red 2016 Kia Forte driven by a 39-year-old from Powder Springs and occupied by a juvenile was on Macland Road. While turning left onto Ernest Barrett Parkway, the Kia entered the path of a blue 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, according to police. The Chevrolet hit the Kia’s right side and rolled over onto its roof. Its driver, a 25-year-old from Powder Springs, was taken to the hospital, where he is expected to recover. The Kia’s driver wasn’t hurt. Police have not identified the underage victim. The incident is still under investigation. No charges have been announced yet. This is a developing story. Check back with Atlanta News First a
